004 :: AIDS Walk OKC :: March 15

AIDS Walk OKC • March 15 • 5:30p • American Red Cross
601 Northeast 6th Street - OKC

Time to get rolling again with AIDS Walk OKC, one of my favorite events of the year is right around the corner. We need to get the save the date cards mailed out. This volunteer event is easy, we stamp cards, and stamp cards, and stamp cards. If a few people show it takes a while, but if we turn out strong it’ll take an hour!

Head into the building, sign in, hang a right, hang a left into the next hallway, keep walking and look for a sign pointing you into the room we’ll be using. Expect a pretty good turnout.

I’ll wait up front until 5:30 PM, so arrive early and you’ll have a pal to chat with until it kicks off.

003 :: Midnight Streak :: August 13th

Midnight Streak - August 13 - City Arts Center
3000 General Pershing Blvd, at the State Fair Park

We’ve been very involved in the arts through the years. Sometimes we do the art and sometimes we volunteer for events that help fund the arts. This event will help City Arts Center raise funds for their fantastic programming. Seriously, click through and learn more about what they do.

The Midnight Streak is Saturday, August 13th and we have several different time slots from which to choose.

• Course Marshal: 10p - 12a
• Water Stop: 10p - 11:30p
• Shirt Sales: 9p - 12p
• Runner Check In: 8p - 11p
• Registration: 8p - 11p
• Audio Load In: 3p
• Audio Load Out: 12:45a

RSVP on this page and I’ll then connect you with Paige at City Arts so that you can select your volunteer role. She will also collect your t-shit size, cell phone number, email address, and mailing address. Thanks much, looking forward to seeing everyone!

002 :: AIDS Walk OKC :: July 14th

AIDS Walk OKC • July 14th • 5:30p • American Red Cross
601 Northeast 6th Street - OKC

Here we go with volunteer event number two. AIDS Walk OKC is one of my favorite organizations, worked with them for years. I’m on one of the committees and would love to invite you to join me for this meeting. I imagine you’re giddy with excitement as to what we’ll be doing, right?

Here’s the plan:
Arrive at the American Red Cross building just before 5:30p on July 14th.
Get buzzed in and get signed in.
Walk towards your right a bit and look for a hallway on your left.
Follow the hallway until you see a little sign that says, “AIDS Walk OKC.”
Help stuff/stamp envelopes for the mass mail-out.

I’d love to have a full house here, the more who show, the faster we knock this mailing out. Expect to work a couple hours, tops.
